Ulrich Handl

Ulrich Handl was born near Munich. He discovered his love for photography at a Shadows concert in the Circus Krone building. For many years Ulrich visited and photographed all the great concerts in Munich in the 60s and 70s. Bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Animals, The Who, Ella Fitzgerald and many others had Ulrich Handl in front of his camera.

The Last Great Discovery in Rock'n'Roll - that's the title of the book, which was produced together with Ulrich Handl and Justin Barwick - and it doesn't promise too much. Never before seen unpublished photographs from a historical time in Munich. On stage, but especially behind it, backstage in and around the Munich clubs of that time.

In addition to the illustrated book, a modern internet presence with online shop as well as some exhibitions and events around the release were created.
