Brand development for the prominent St. Martin’s Church in Memmingen
St. Martin’s Church in Memmingen is a church with a rich tradition. The development of European civil liberties began here at St. Martin’s in 1525, among other places. Building on this rich tradition, a modern and welcoming parish has emerged. St. Martin’s Church is an important part of Memmingen’s cityscape; with its spectacular Goll organ, it is known far beyond the city limits and is a popular tourist attraction.
The visual identity should therefore also convey an open-minded, progressive, and modern image. The fresh color gradient stylishly combines the violet of the Evangelical Lutheran Church with the traditional color of St. Martin—the bright red of his cloak. The bold and modern typography stands on its own and conveys the grandeur and significance of the church. A prominent angled surface runs through the entire brand design. Together with the iconic silhouette of St. Martin’s Church, this creates a unique visual identity that catches the eye and guarantees recognition.
In addition to the corporate design and business stationery, we developed a flexible series of posters, the parish newsletter, and other print materials for parish and public relations work. Last but not least, we created a modern, responsive website with a content management system.
