Ulm medical supply store with a new look designed by the agency das formt.
Munich, November 25, 2011 – The Munich-based agency das formt – Büro für Kommunikation & Design is giving the newly established medical supply store in Ulm a new identity. The medical supply store, named after its managing director and master orthopedic technician Peter Wegmann, bears the nickname “Atelier für Orthopädietechnik” (Workshop for Orthopedic Technology), which says a lot about the character and focus of the company. Wegmann places great emphasis on the technical and professional aspects of his work, particularly the custom fabrication of orthoses, prostheses, and knee, hand, and ankle braces. Of course, the medical supply store also offers products such as crutches, compression stockings, shoe inserts, etc. This expert-artistic character was decisive in the development of the visual identity. The logo has an almost constructivist feel. A stylized band folded into an incomplete octagon in gray and red seems, at first glance, rather atypical for a medical supply store and, precisely because of this, stands out pleasantly from the competition. In addition to the visual identity, business stationery, and signage, several media campaigns are planned. The medical supply store will open in early 2012 on Frauenstraße in Ulm.
